agreeing to these terms
By accessing or using Guile's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services. These terms apply to all users of the platform, including barbers, clients, and visitors.

what guile does
Guile provides a booking and payments platform connecting barbers with their clients. Our services include appointment scheduling, payment processing, profile management, and related features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time.

your account
To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.

what we ask of barbers
Barbers using Guile agree to: provide accurate service descriptions and pricing, honor confirmed appointments, maintain appropriate licenses and insurance, comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and treat clients professionally and respectfully.

what we ask of clients
Clients using Guile agree to: provide accurate contact information, arrive on time for appointments, cancel with reasonable notice when necessary, pay for services as agreed, and treat barbers professionally and respectfully.

payments
Barbers set their own prices, and each barber sets their own refund and cancellation policy. Stripe processes card payments, subject to Stripe's terms of service, and pays out to the barber's own connected account. When a client pays by card, we hold the card before the appointment and charge it only once the barber marks it complete, so no money moves until the work is done.

what barbers pay
Barbers pay $0.99 for each booking paid by card, and nothing when a client pays cash. Every tip stays with the barber. We take no commission: not on a new client's first booking, not ever. Standard payouts are free, and an instant payout costs 2% of the amount, with a $1.00 minimum.

what clients pay
Clients pay a Guile fee when they pay by card: $1.99 on bookings under $25, and $2.99 at $25 and up, measured on the service total before any tip. Paying cash in person costs nothing. Everything else on the bill goes to the barber, including the service price and any off-hours fee, deposit, or amount owed for a late cancellation or no-show. We show every amount before the booking is confirmed.

cancellations
Cancellation policies may vary by barber. We encourage barbers to clearly communicate their cancellation terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges as specified by the barber's policy. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions.

our work
All content, features, and functionality of Guile are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

privacy
Your use of Guile is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.

limits on our liability
Guile is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to us in the past twelve months.
